Nature at its Best: Bukidnon

It's been a year since our Bukidnon [side]trip. :) We actually attended a seminar in Cagayan De Oro City and since Bukidnon is only 2-3 hours drive away from CDO, we decided to go.

Bukidnon is a very nice place. Nature at its best.

We passed by the Camp Phillips of Del Monte Philippines in Manolo Fortich. You can see acres and acres of land planted with pineapples. There are pineapples as far as your naked eye can see. There maybe more pineapples than there are humans living in that place.

Some 15 minute drive (from Camp Phillips) up to the mountain is the Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich Bukidnon Forest Park. The weather was not that nice that day, it was drizzzling, but we enjoyed the place. The temperature is a li'l bit like Baguio's. It was so foggy, but we can see the beautiful  and spectacular scenery and the green mountains.

Breathaking.

Next stop was at Libona, Bukidnon. We visited Tita Vising, a friend of my officemate. She's very very nice. And she said we can go back to Bukidnon anytime and stay at her house. :)

She also treated us to lunch at the "The Bungalow", also a part of Del Monte Phils. They have the best pineapple juice (ofcourse!) and the tastiest  roast beef.

From The Bungalow, we went straight to the CDO airport. It was a day before Typhoon Sendong hit CDO. Because of that typhoon, our flight was rescheduled three (3) times and finally cancelled after five (5) hour of waiting. Luckily, we were accommodated on another PAL flight that night, escaping the wrath of typhoon Sendong.

I hope to go back and explore more of Bukidnon. Perfect place for nature lovers.
