It was a fine sunday morning. I was thinking of getting some pedicure and massage and footspa. But the cousin suggested that we go to the Philippine National Museum since there's no entrance fee for the whole month of June.
I've been to the National Museum once, when I was in college but that was a very long time ago. I didn't take pictures back then. So we had a fun filled sunday. We were very tired from all the picture takings. But it was worth it. :)
At the entrance, this fine piece of art work / statue will great you.. As excited as we were, we had to take picures with it ofcourse :)
I also had a close encounter with a national treasure, the Philippines' most famous painting - the Spoliarium of Juan Luna.
We had a day full of painting appreciation and since there's so many of them, all of the Philippine's finest, I cant remember names of each and everyone, but here's some picture, with me ofcourse :)
And some modern abstract paintings :)
And this one's my picture with the famous bangsamoro's musical intruments, such fine pieces.
The lady and the jars! :)
The cousin didn't waste the opportunity to take a picture with the famous Manunggul jar, which can be seen on the Php1,000.00 peso bill.
And God's most perfect masterpiece, that's ME! Taken at one of the grand staircases of the museum :)
How to get there:
From Manila / Quezon City:
1. Ride FX taxis or Jeepneys going to Buendia via Taft
2. Get off at Luneta Park, from there you'll see the National Museum. Dont't worry, its too big of a white building that you wont miss it.
And there are two National Museum buildings by the way, first one are for paintings, and the second one for artifacts/relics..
